Terms of Service

1. What Verafo is

Verafo is a buyer risk scoring service for merchants selling on Shopify in Pakistan. It reads order data from connected stores, produces a reliability score for each buyer keyed to a phone number, and can restrict or relabel cash on delivery at checkout according to rules the merchant configures.

Verafo is not a courier, a lender, or a payment processor. It does not carry parcels, extend credit, or process payments. Scores are probabilistic predictions, not guarantees about how any individual buyer will behave.

2. Your account and your store

• You must have authority to install apps on the Shopify store you connect.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us.
• You are responsible for keeping your Shopify and Verafo login credentials secure.

3. Subscriptions, plans and billing

• Verafo is billed through the Shopify Billing API. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice.
• The Free plan costs PKR 0 and includes 15 buyer risk checks per day.
• The Standard plan is PKR 6,999 per month and includes a 7 day free trial.
• The Founder One plan lists at PKR 39,000 per month and includes a 45 day free trial. The first 100 founding merchants receive PKR 12,499 per month, locked in permanently for as long as the subscription remains continuously active.
• Plan limits, daily check allowances and features are described on the pricing page and may be adjusted for future customers. Changes will not remove a locked Founder One rate from an active subscriber.
• You can cancel at any time by uninstalling the app. Cancellation stops future billing. Fees already charged are not refunded except where required by law.

4. The 30 day guarantee

If Verafo does not save you at least one cash on delivery return within your first 30 days of active use, you are entitled to 90 days of Verafo at no cost. To keep this fair and verifiable:

• The 30 days begin when your store starts producing scores, not when you first enquire.
• A saved return means at least one order that Verafo flagged as high risk, and on which cash on delivery was restricted, was not subsequently refused.
• You must have marked or imported delivery outcomes so that refusals are recorded in the app. Without outcome data there is nothing to measure.
• The guarantee applies once per store.

5. Your data and your customers' data

• Your customer data remains yours. Verafo does not claim ownership of it.
• You grant Verafo the licence needed to process order data in order to produce scores, operate the service and improve the accuracy of the model.
• Other merchants receive derived risk signals only. They never receive your customer identities, phone numbers, addresses, order history, pricing or customer list.
• You are responsible for informing your own customers, where local law requires it, that order data is processed by a third party for fraud and return risk prediction.
• Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not use Verafo to discriminate against buyers on grounds prohibited by law.
• Do not attempt to extract, scrape or reverse engineer the shared buyer graph, or to identify buyers belonging to another merchant.
• Do not upload data you have no right to share, and do not use the service to break any applicable law.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.

7. Availability and changes

• We aim to keep Verafo available at all times but do not promise uninterrupted service.
• Features may be added, changed or retired as the product develops.
• Sub second scoring is guaranteed on the Founder One plan. Where it is not met in a given month, contact support for a service credit.

8. Limitation of liability

Verafo provides risk predictions. You remain responsible for your own fulfilment and commercial decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verafo is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profit, lost orders or reputational harm. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using Verafo at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, if required by law, or if the service is discontinued. On termination we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Islamabad.
